Another Gameday

A few weekends ago Danny and I headed to College Station for another football game. His aunt and uncle are season ticket holders and go to every home game and they were able to get us tickets in the seats right next to them.

Ollie wanted to go with us and jumped in the car!

We got to CS at 9 pm Friday night and headed to one of my fave restaurants, La Bodega. Sadly, it was not as good as either of us remembered. Maybe they were just having an off night.

After dinner we headed to the hotel to get a good nights rest for the next days festivities.

The next morning we headed out to the tailgate at 9:30. We had a full day of hanging out with friends, going to the game (which the Aggies won, yay!), eating dinner with Danny's aunt and uncle, and watching the end of the Ranger game.

It was another fun and relaxing weekend in College Station. Sadly, we probably won't be heading back there until next football season. On the bright side, that gives me plenty of time to plan my next game day dress!

We got home Sunday afternoon and headed to have lunch with Danny's fam to celebrate his mom's bday. Then we picked up the boys from his parents house and took them home to get ready for Halloween!
The dogs did such a great job helping pass out candy to trick or treaters!

A Tailgate and a Dress

This weekend we loaded up and headed to College Station with the Stanleys. It was my first trip back to CS this year and I was so excited! I decided since it was a new year I had to have a new dress.

Here is the dress Danny's mom made me for football season last year.

This year, I decided to go for it and make my own. I am definitely not a pro and there are few things I will tweak for the next time, but my dress didn't fall apart so I considered it a success!

With my wardrobe taken care of it was time to party! The weather was perfect, the food was yummy and there were tons of fun friends to hang out with all day.

I even got to see my bestie, Ash, for two weekends in a row! Such a treat!!!

The Aggies lost, as usual, but we played flip cup and shot gunned beers to drown our sorrows away.
Can't wait to head back in two weeks for the Tech game!

Weekend Wrap- up

Well, this weekend was a success! We drove down to College Station on Friday after work and got there in record time. The only set back we had was when Ollie decided to barf in the car. This, however, is a normal occurrence so I came prepared with paper towels and Clorox wipes so a major crisis was averted.

We got to hotel Maldonado, changed clothes and walked across the street to have dinner at the Tap (this was Danny's dinner choice). After dinner we headed out to have a little fun at Northgate which is always a good time!

Saturday morning Drill Sergeant Jon had us all up bright and early to get ready for a full day of tailgating. We got all the necessities together and were setup at our tailgate spot by 11 am with mimosas in our hands.

We played ladder ball, bocce ball, and washers and ate hamburgers, boudin and guacamole all day long.

Oliver loved tailgating and was so well behaved! He will definitely be coming back to College Station on future tailgate trips with us!

We are making this a yearly tradition for Susan's birthday and next year the tailgate will be upgraded with a TV and a name (Fire in the Hole was the number one name choice). In ten years we hope that we will have the ultimate tailgate upgrade and have an RV so be on the lookout for that!

Sunday morning we woke up, went to the park, church and finally La Bodega for some awesome fish tacos. We had the slowest waiter on earth, but the food was worth the wait!

In two weeks Danny and I will be going back down for the OSU game and I can't wait! My mission during the next two weeks is to find a new game day dress. Some of those girls in CS had the cutest A&M dresses I have ever seen. I have to get my hands on one!!!!
