Happy Birthday Momma!
I don't think my mom looks 60 but for some reason my memory card reader isn't working so I can't get a picture of her to show you, so you will just have to take my word for it.
My mom is a nut, tells stories with way too many pointless details and reads every single sign we pass by when we are on road trips. But she loves me not matter what and thinks I am what makes the world go around. She does everything she can to make my brother and I happy and we appreciate her more than she knows!
So happy birthday to my momma!!!

Quote of the Day (QOTD)
You see, I have really funny friends who sometimes say things that are too funny not to share.
Today's QOTD comes from Fun Bobby. We work for the same company and were talking online about her recent trip to Cancun when she said the following:
"Being in a bikini right after busy season wasn't really conducive for finding a mate"
I don't know if truer words have ever been spoken.
Let the panic attacks begin

I think I have an addiction
Anyway, Danny and I decided on Monday night that we just had to have patio furniture (you know, so we can sit outside and drink after work). Danny decided that he wanted to build it so we set out at 8pm on Monday night to go get our supplies. First stop was Wal-Mart to look at cushions since he couldn't build anything until he knew the cushion measurements. While we were at Wal-Mart we went to the Easter candy section where everything was half off. We bought a pack of Reese's peanut butter eggs and two things of Robin's eggs. We also ended up buying a patio set.
Well, before I went to bed that night, I had eaten 3 of the 6 peanut butter eggs that came in the package. The rest were gone by Tuesday night. Today after work I had to go to Target to get some necessities like nail polish. Well, I couldn't resist the 30% off Easter candy so I ended up with another pack of Reese's peanut butter eggs and a bag of bliss chocolates. I have eaten 4 of the 6 eggs.
I don't even like chocolate that much. This has got to stop!

Easter Weekend
Micah and Holly went with us to the game and we had a great time! The weather was pretty much perfect and the Rangers won the game!
Danny made my shirt!
After the game we came home and sat on the porch drinking wine and chatting. I am totally loving having a nice, big porch. We don't have nice, comfy patio furniture out there yet but we are starting to realize that it may be a necessity for us with as much time as we have been spending out there.
Saturday we decided to take advantage of more great weather and we headed to the tennis courts. There were tons of people out there playing legitimate games while Danny and I were out there just hitting the ball back and forth. At one point we tried to play an actual game but Danny is not very good at serving so we were basically just standing around waiting for him to get the ball over the net. So, we ditched that idea and just went back to hitting the ball to each other and running around. It was a pretty fun time, but we forgot to bring water so we only lasted about 45 minutes before we had to leave and get some refreshments.
The rest of the day consisted of more sitting outside on the porch, running errands, sushi dinner and more wine on the porch after dinner. During our errand running we went up to Nordstrom Rack where Danny got me some new sunglasses and dress as an early birthday present! Then he even drove me to Marshall's and Dillards so I could do some more shopping. He actually stayed in the car and napped at both of these places but I was just thankful that I didn't have to deal with parking the car. Shopping on the weekends in Dallas = HORRIBLE PARKING. While at Dillards I found a dress for an upcoming wedding shower that we are having in Brownsville and a potential dress for the rehearsal dinner so my shopping trip ended up being pretty successful.
Today we started off our day by making some of the goodies for Easter lunch since we hosted Danny's family at our house and then we headed to church for the 11 am Mass. We got to church about 15 minutes early and it was packed! We had to stand the entire time. It ended up not being too bad and the Mass was not as long as we were expecting so we were actually out of there in a little over an hour.
We came home and finished cooking and spent the rest of the day celebrating Easter with Danny's parents and brothers.
My little cook. He had to wear my apron!
Ollie-kins! Doesn't he kinda look like a bunny?
Here are our Easter 2010 pictures:
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
