How Much is too Much???

Last week I asked Danny to stop at Whole Foods on his way home from work to get some almonds and cranberries so we could make chicken salad for dinner. I get home and see this.

He bought almost 2 pounds of almonds!!! Who needs that many almonds!?!?! I asked him why he got so many and he said because he knew I liked them. Haha, yes I like almonds, but I don't need 2 pounds worth at one time.

Here is a picture with the almonds next to my purse so you can see how large the bag of almonds actually was.

Moral of the story is to not send Danny to the grocery store alone ever again.

A Sad Goodbye

This weekend I had to say so long to my parent's dog Charlie.
Cruising through Dallas
He has been living with us for the past six weeks so he would not be in the way while my grandpa was recovering from his broken hip but it was time for him to head back home to my parents house. My dad had been working out of the country for the past year and a half but he came back home for good this weekend so now there will be someone to take care of Charlie while my mom is busy helping out my grandparents.

I was so sad to see him go and started bawling when my mom called me earlier in the week to tell me that when we brought him down to see my grandparents this weekend he would probably be staying for good.

Selfishly I wanted to keep him here with me in Dallas but I know my parents really missed him and I am sure he probably missed them too.
When it was time to say goodbye I hugged and kissed him and gave him a mohawk.
Rockstar Dog

I know he is having a good time with my parents because last night my dad called to tell me that Charlie had some tacos for dinner and was out patrolling the neighborhood. Ahhh the good life!

The Bombshell Part 2

This curling iron has stolen my heart! I read the instructions that came with it and then watched a couple of videos on youtube before I put it the test. Here are my "before bombshell waves" shots.

I was pleasantly surprised with how easy and fast it is to use. It takes me less than 10 minutes to curl my hair with this thing and the best part is that the waves stay in all day long without any hairspray!

I tried it out for the first time on Friday night before we went out to a bday dinner for Katie. I think it turned out pretty well for my first time.

I tried it again on Saturday morning before we headed out for St. Patty's day festivities. I forgot to take a picture, but the waves lasted me all day even though we were outside all day long. Yay!

I used it yesterday morning before work and today and have gotten some really great compliments. Here is the final product from this morning.
.

I think the back of my hair could use a little tweaking, but overall I love how it looks and how fast and easy it is!

This was $130 well spent!

Nail Polish of the Month

Spring has sprung so it was time to get some pink on my nails!

This month I have been wearing OPI's Argenteeny Pinkini.

There really isn't anything super special about it. Just a pink polish. It may look better on me if I was a little more tan instead of pasty white.

The Bombshell

This little beauty came in the mail yesterday.

I am a total sucker, so when I heard it would give me gorgeous waves in my hair like the Victoria's Secret models I had to make it mine.

Luckily I have a bday coming up in April and luckily my brother is a sucker and I talked him into sending me a Sephora gift card at the end of February as an early bday present. If I told Danny I wanted a $130 curling iron he would have laughed in my face and said I don't need gorgeous bombshell waves. He doesn't know what he is talking about. The brother on the other hand doesn't ask questions.

I tried to go into the store last week (the day after the gift card came in the mail) to get it, but those jokers didn't have any! So bummed. So I had to order online and wait another week for it.

I need to watch some tutorials online to see how to work this bad boy but I am hoping to get some good practice in this weekend! I will make sure to take some good before and after pics!

They Can't be Trusted

Today we had to lock the dogs in the bedroom while we were at work since we had a guy coming over to finish grinding out our huge tree stump in the backyard.

I was worried that we would come home and find the dogs on top of the bed but instead we got home to find that they decided to eat all of the turtle food and treats! To top it all off, the turtle food container was ginormous and only 1/4 of the way empty. I was not a happy girl when I saw what they did.

The number one suspect is for sure this guy.

He felt so guilty he wouldn't even look me in the eyes!

But, we have no doubt that Ollie helped him out.

I put the container next to him just so you can see how big it really was.

Here's to hoping they don't barf out all that turtle food tonight!
