Missing Something?

What does this sweet dog have in common with this guy?

He is now missing the same tooth!

We came home today to find that Ender had gotten a little too rough with one of his bones and his tooth fell out! This isn't a baby tooth either. He is 4 years old so it looks like he is going to have to live with this for the rest of his life.

We called the vet and left them a message to let them know what happened and to make sure there isn't anything we need to do about this. He doesn't seem to be in any pain so I am guessing they will tell us to just let it be.

Ender loves his bones, but it looks like we are going to be more careful about what we give him unless we want to have to get him some doggie dentures in the future!

Call Me Pablo

Picasso that is.

A couple of weekends ago I headed to Houston to spend some quality time with my bestie and we decided to take a painting class at Pinot's Palette. The class offered that weekend happened to be a paint your pet project and we both happen to love our pets so we were super excited!

Ash had taken a couple of these types of classes before and is really artistic (our teacher even told her she was very precise) but I was really nervous about how my painting would turn out since I am not that artistic and I am not known for my patience. We ended up having a blast and I was pleasantly surprised at how well my painting turned out!

Ashley and I with our masterpieces!

I was so proud of my painting that I decided it needed to be framed and hung up on the living room wall. It is going to be the centerpiece of the gallery wall we are working on putting up! Crazy, I know, but what else am I supposed to do with it?!?! I worked hard on that thing and it needs to be displayed in a prominent place.

Look at that resemblance!

If you are feeling sorry for Ender because he doesn't have a giant portrait of himself hanging on our wall, don't be. Danny is going to paint a picture of him so he won't be left out.

They Can't be Trusted

Today we had to lock the dogs in the bedroom while we were at work since we had a guy coming over to finish grinding out our huge tree stump in the backyard.

I was worried that we would come home and find the dogs on top of the bed but instead we got home to find that they decided to eat all of the turtle food and treats! To top it all off, the turtle food container was ginormous and only 1/4 of the way empty. I was not a happy girl when I saw what they did.

The number one suspect is for sure this guy.

He felt so guilty he wouldn't even look me in the eyes!

But, we have no doubt that Ollie helped him out.

I put the container next to him just so you can see how big it really was.

Here's to hoping they don't barf out all that turtle food tonight!

Dog Tales

Last night, these two hooligans got yelled at because they would not stay out of the master bedroom where we were trying to build something and then start ripping up the carpet. I was the one yelling at them so I am not surprised they didn't do what they were told because those fools never listen to what I say. Anyway, I finally got their attention and told them to go get in their beds. I walked into the guest room to make sure they actually did what they were told and this is what I found. They are totally best buds!!! Ollie has his own bed but I guess he wanted to snuggle with his big brother!

Charlie, my parents dog who now lives with us, refuses to sleep on dog beds. He prefers things like the couch or our bed. Problem is he likes to lick his paws which totally annoys me, he takes up way too much space when you let him on the bed and he is a dog so sometimes he stinks like a bag of Frito's. Therefore, this guy has to sleep on the floor. He also won't be caught dead laying less than 2 feet away from Ender which is why he wasn't in the pic with the other dogs. Ollie he semi likes, Ender he tolerates.

All three of these dogs are totally nuts, but we still totally love them! Danny says I love them more than I love him. Not true, but they aren't too far behind on my love meter.

Oliver's First Birthday!

One year ago today this little guy entered the world.

Two months later Danny and I drove to Oklahoma to bring him home.

Oliver has turned out to be the greatest dog ever and puts a smile on our faces every day!

We love you birthday dog!

A Walk in the Park

Due to the great holiday known as Labor Day, Danny and I both had four whole days off from work this weekend and we didn't have to go out of town for a wedding (which had become our normal weekend routine for the past few months)! I was so thrilled to have four days off from work and nowhere to go! The dogs were thrilled too since they got some major attention and got to take extra long walks every day and go to the park a couple of times. Here are some pictures from one of our days at the park.
Ender and Ollie ready to go!

We had to delay our walk since Ollie decided to empty himself out in the front yard the minute we started walking away from the house. Here are the boys waiting for me to return from getting rid of the evidence.

This is what Ender does at the park

This is what Ollie does

And here they are after a long walk and an exciting morning at the park.

The dogs spent the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon laying on the kitchen floor. Ollie was pooped after all the laying around he did at the park.
