Recent Happenings

I am pretty behind on my blogging so I thought I would do a quick catch up post!

Ender and Ollie went for a car ride to Jon and Shellie's house for a Labor Day BBQ where we got to hang out with some of our favorite friends!

Then, two weekends ago, Danny went to College Station to watch a football game while I stayed in town to celebrate Katie's bachelorette weekend!

We did some fun girly stuff like a gossip girl slumber party, the spa and the pool. Had some yummy food and drinks at dinner. Then had the lingerie shower and inappropriate conversations before heading to the bar!
Jen and I are smiling but I think we were supposed to be making a confused face in that picture which is why everyone else looks goofy.

All in all, we have just been having a great time recently spending time with our wonderful friends!

On the agenda this week is an A&M vs OSU watch party on Thursday night and a going away party for our beloved Fun Bobby on Friday!

Nicaragua

Here are some pics from our family trip to Nicaragua a few weeks ago. Danny's parents were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary so the whole family went down to Nicaragua (the place they got married) to celebrate and see the sights.

We had a pretty big group on the trip that included Danny's parents, two brothers, 2 aunts, 2 uncles, 3 cousins and the two of us! Everyone besides Danny and I stayed in Nicaragua for an entire week. We only got to stay for a few days because we had to get back for work. We missed out on some fun stuff like the volcano tour and the markets but we still had a great time while we were there!

Pete and Kevin were taking a nap and missed out on the family photo, so we added their floating heads.

Monkeys! The rest of the fam went on this boat ride the day after us and the monkeys actually jumped in their boat. They were all sleeping when we went by. I was so bummed.

I asked Danny to push me on the hammock and he proceeded to try and flip me out of the hammock.

Mabree, Danny's cousin, found a coconut and we opened it up to get some fresh coconut juice. It was not very good!

Birthday Fun!

Last week one of my best buds, Kiki, celebrated her 26th birthday!


To celebrate, we got together this weekend for a pool party and a cookout.


We spent the day hanging out in the pool, drinking and eating delicious hamburgers that Danny made for all of us.


It was a great day filled with lots of laughs, fun and sunshine! We were so worn out from the sun that we fell asleep right when we got home and took a two hour nap!

Kiki, I hope you had a great 26th birthday! We had such a fun time celebrating with you!!!

In just a few short hours we will be on a plane to sunny Nicaragua!

I can't wait for a little sun and sand!!!

Things my Husband Says

So I know I totally still need to do a honeymoon picture post and a post about what has been going on in my life since I became an old married lady, but this morning Danny said something really funny/bizarre that made me laugh/question his desire to stay married to me.

A little back story. Danny quit his job last week and does not start his new job until next week so he basically has two weeks of vacation. Since he has so much free time on his hands we decided to put hardwood floors in our house and finish up a few other small projects. Also, since he is a stay at home husband, he has been making my lunch for me to take to work in the mornings. Super cute, I know.

Anyway, I walked into the kitchen this morning while Danny was finishing up my lunch and the following took place:

Danny: Oh, you smell good!

Me: Thanks! It is my new perfume. You like it?

Danny: Yeah, it covers up your stench.

He is so romantic.

P.S. I do not really have a stench!

It's official! We got hitched!

All of our best friends in the entire world and our families were with us for our wedding weekend.
