Things my Husband Says

So I know I totally still need to do a honeymoon picture post and a post about what has been going on in my life since I became an old married lady, but this morning Danny said something really funny/bizarre that made me laugh/question his desire to stay married to me.

A little back story. Danny quit his job last week and does not start his new job until next week so he basically has two weeks of vacation. Since he has so much free time on his hands we decided to put hardwood floors in our house and finish up a few other small projects. Also, since he is a stay at home husband, he has been making my lunch for me to take to work in the mornings. Super cute, I know.

Anyway, I walked into the kitchen this morning while Danny was finishing up my lunch and the following took place:

Danny: Oh, you smell good!

Me: Thanks! It is my new perfume. You like it?

Danny: Yeah, it covers up your stench.

He is so romantic.

P.S. I do not really have a stench!

It's official! We got hitched!

Countdown

Today marks the one month countdown to the wedding!

The past 11 months have literally flown by and I can't believe our big day is almost here.

I can't wait to be back home with all of our most favorite people celebrating the happiest day of our lives!!!!

Happy Birthday Momma!

Today is my mom's 60th birthday!!! I don't think she reads this but if you meet her don't tell her I told you how old she is!

I don't think my mom looks 60 but for some reason my memory card reader isn't working so I can't get a picture of her to show you, so you will just have to take my word for it.

My mom is a nut, tells stories with way too many pointless details and reads every single sign we pass by when we are on road trips. But she loves me not matter what and thinks I am what makes the world go around. She does everything she can to make my brother and I happy and we appreciate her more than she knows!

So happy birthday to my momma!!!

Today I am 26

Today is my 26th birthday! Geez, 26 years. That sounds so old and grown up but I still feel like a little kid just playing dress up!

Today has been a pretty great day. I did have to go to work, which was pretty lame, but other than that my day has been great!

After work Danny and I headed out to have dinner at one of my favorite places, Big Shucks. This is not the typical birthday dinner spot most people would pick, but it is so yummy and a favorite spot for Danny and I. I had ceviche and oysters on the half-shell and Danny had the catfish poboy.

After dinner we went to Michael's to get some crafting supplies. I am always on the lookout for some good crafting supplies! There is a Baskin Robbins right next door to Michael's so we went over there for a birthday treat. And guess what?!!??! They had my favorite ice cream flavor in the entire universe, bubblegum!!!! This is a seasonal flavor for them but I can never remember what season it is that they have it so I go in there all the time hoping they have it and they never do. Today however it was there! It was like a birthday miracle!

Now we are back at the house, sitting on the porch, listening to music and drinking some wine. I may even start reading the book Ender and Ollie got me, One Red Paperclip.

This is the prefect end to a great day!

Today is exactly two months until the wedding. I may have woken up this morning and had a slight panic attack and you better believe Danny got an email this morning with a list things he needed to do this week for the wedding.
