Oh Baby Baby - Week 40

40 weeks

How Far Along? 40 weeks…Today is the BIG day!!! Lily's little head would not drop so we are having her via c section today at noon!

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of a jackfruit and now weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds and is about 18.9 to 20.19 inches long. Per my sono yesterday, Lily is estimated to weigh 7 lbs 9 oz

Maternity Clothes? Hopefully these are a thing of the past.

Weight Gain? Official weigh in yesterday was 21 lbs.

Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele.

Sleep? Sleep is great. The past few nights I woke up really early in the morning but was able to fall back asleep after 30 minutes or so. I think it was just excitement!
Food Cravings? Still just fruit and sweet treats! I am pretty sure I have eaten at least one serving of ice cream everyday this past week.

What I Miss? Nothing!

Symptoms?  Balls of my feet were still hurting me pretty badly this week. Other than that nothing out of the ordinary. I have to admit that I am kind of bummed that I won't get to experience the symptoms of going into labor on my own. As much as I would have liked to avoid a c section I know that my plans are not always His plans and I know just how lucky I am to be given the gift of a baby. I know it is a privilege that not everyone is granted so all I can do is smile and go with it!
Belly Button? Out
Best Moment of the Week? I am pretty sure I will be having the best moment of the week today at noon!

Here is a little video I put together last week to get everyone ready to meet our sweet girl!

Oh Baby Baby - Week 39

39 weeks

How Far Along? 39 weeks…only 1 week to go (7 days). Woohoo!!!!

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of a watermelon and now weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds and is about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long. I for sure feel like I am carrying a watermelon in there!

Maternity Clothes?  Still just using the few maternity items I have. Almost all tops and dresses are still my pre preggo stuff. Tomorrow is my last day of work so I won't have to worry about wearing office appropriate clothes anymore. It will probably be yoga pants and tank tops from here on out!

Weight Gain? I was up to 21 lbs at my last doctors appointment.

Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele.

Sleep? Sleep is still really good.
Food Cravings? Still just fruit and sweet treats!

What I Miss? Being able to bend over easily, not bumping into things with my belly and being able to get out of bed easily.

Symptoms?  This week I am still feeling pressure down low when I go from sitting to standing and getting a little crampy sometimes. The balls of my feet also hurt pretty badly when I first wake up in the morning and start walking around.
Belly Button? Out
Best Moment of the Week?  Hmmmm, every day just gets more and more exciting since we are one day closer to meeting Lily! This weekend was pretty fun because we got to see most of our besties (Saturday night at a wedding shower and then Sunday night at a fish fry).

Lily's Nursery

With Lily's due date being 8 days away I figured it was probably time to get some pictures of her nursery up on the blog!

I think I have said it before, but when I found out I was pregnant I immediately thought we were having a girl so I would look at girl stuff all the time. I saw this rug on the Anthropologie website and knew this is what I wanted the nursery to be based around if the baby did end up being a girl.

Lucky for me my intuition was right and I literally ordered this rug the minute I got back to work after the appointment when we found out that we were in fact having a baby girl!

I think all the bright and fun colors drew me to the rug and it really worked out perfectly because Lily's zodiac sign will be Leo, which is a lion, so she will fit in perfectly as the queen of her little jungle! I wasn't really planning on the animals in the rug being part of the theme of her room (I was more focused on the colors) but we did end up having a few special elephant items in the room.

Enough talking! Here are the pictures!

It was to hard to get the whole room in one picture so I tried to do a little panoramic and then a few close up shots!

 IMG_5973 IMG_5975 IMG_5978 IMG_5979 IMG_5984

Now all we need to make the room complete is our little Lily girl!

Oh Baby Baby - week 38

38 weeks

How Far Along? 38 weeks…only 2 weeks to go (14 days). I have no idea how it is possible to only have 14 days to go!!! Ahhh!!!

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of a pumpkin and now weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds and is about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long.

Maternity Clothes?  Still just using the few maternity items I have. Almost all tops and dresses are still my pre preggo stuff.  Thank goodness I only have 2 weeks to go because I am running out of tops that fit!

Weight Gain? I was up to 20 lbs at my last doctors appointment.

Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele.

Sleep? Sleep is still really good. My problem is I am so cozy in bed that I don’t want to get up in the mornings!
Food Cravings? Still just fruit and sweet treats!

What I Miss? Being able to bend over easily, not bumping into things with my belly and being able to get out of bed easily.

Symptoms?  I actually still feel really great. I am starting to feel a lot more pressure down low when I go from sitting to standing and I get a little crampy sometimes. One of my more disgusting symptoms in the past couple of weeks has been gas. My stomach makes all kinds of noises all day long at work. When I get home and “let it all out” it is so stinky that even my husband is grossed out! I always blame the stinky gas on being pregnant so I hope it goes away once Lily is born. If not, I guess I can always blame the stinky smells on the baby. I have also been getting a shooting pain in my inner thigh depending on the way I am standing. I learned today that it is called "lightning crotch" (awesome name). Apparently, the baby is sitting so low in my pelvis that she is pushing on nerves. Haha, lightning crotch, so funny!
Belly Button? Out
Best Moment of the Week? Just knowing that we are so close to meeting this little lady! We even put the car seat bases in the car so we are ready for Lily to come at any time!

Oh Baby Baby - Week 37

37 weeks

How Far Along? 37 weeks…only 3 weeks to go (21 days). Lily is officially considered full term!

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of a winter melon and now weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds and is about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long.

Maternity Clothes?  Still just using the few maternity items I have. Almost all tops and dresses are still my pre preggo stuff.

Weight Gain? I was up 20 lbs at my doctors appt today. I went to the doctor last Friday and my weight gain was still at 18 so I guess all the food I ate this weekend (I had family in town) stuck to my bones! Whoops!

Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele.

Sleep? I am still sleeping great. I have been staying up a little later at night but I am still falling asleep right away and usually only getting up once for a trip to the bathroom.
Food Cravings? Still just fruit and sweet treats!

What I Miss? Well bending over is getting pretty hard to do and is accompanied by a few grunts so I guess I miss being able to bend over without sounding like a caveman.

Symptoms?  This week I feel like the nesting instinct hit me. I have had Danny on the go for months now doing things around the house and I had already washed most of Lily’s things which I thought was my nesting instinct but then Danny brought something over from his parents house and left it sitting on our back porch and I seriously almost cried! Just knowing that something was out of place and in my opinion “junking” up the porch got me all worked up! Maybe I was just hormonal, who knows! I even told Danny last night that we had to make sure the house was clean and neat at all times in case Lily decided to come early because I don’t want to bring her home from the hospital to a messy house!
Belly Button? Out
Best Moment of the Week? This week was great! Some of my moms best friends from college came to Dallas this weekend and had a little lunch shower for Lily and I. One of my aunts and grandma also made the trip up so I got to spend the weekend with them which I loved!

Oh Baby Baby - Week 36

36 weeks

How Far Along? 36 weeks…only 4 weeks to go (28 days).

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of a honeydew and now weighs about 4.2 to 5.8 pounds and is about 17.2 to 18.7 inches long.

Maternity Clothes?  Still just using the few maternity items I have. Almost all tops and dresses are still my pre preggo stuff.

Weight Gain? Holding steady at 18 lbs.

Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele.

Sleep? Still no problems in this department thankfully!
Food Cravings? Fruit and sweets. Last night I ate about 5 homemade rice krispie treats!

What I Miss? Shopping for clothes in my regular size. There are so many cute things online that I have been drooling over but I know I need to be patient! I already told Danny that once I get back to my pre baby weight I am going on a shopping spree! That will be some good motivation for me to start working out ASAP!

Symptoms?  I had a little bit of heartburn a couple of days this week and Lily is still occasionally punching me down low which is uncomfortable.
Belly Button? Out
Best Moment of the Week? Getting all the big to do’s around the house scratched off my list! One of the main things I wanted to get done was have the carpets cleaned. The carpet cleaners came out last Friday and now Lily’s room looks so fresh and clean! Our dogs have since been banned from her room because I just know those rascals will get it dirty and I am just not ready for that yet! Now we can hopefully relax the next few weekends before Lily gets here!

Oh Baby Baby - Week 35

35 weeks

How Far Along? 35 weeks…only 5 weeks to go (35 days).

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of a coconut and now weighs about 4.2 to 5.8 pounds and is about 17.2 to 18.7 inches long.

Maternity Clothes?  Still just using the few maternity pants I have but mostly wearing dresses. With only 5 weeks to go I am hoping to not have to buy anything else and just make due with what I have.
Weight Gain? Holding steady at 18 lbs per my doctors appointment last week.
Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele.

Sleep? Still really great! I think Lily knows that momma needs her sleep or she is grumpy! Hopefully Lily will continue to be a good girl after she arrives and let me get a few hours of uninterrupted sleep every now and then!
Food Cravings? Still just fruit and sometimes ice cream.
What I Miss? Nothing.

Symptoms?  The balls of my feet were hurting a little bit this week which I think is due to the fact that I still wear heels or wedges to work every day with all this extra weight on me.  Also, I have started feeling some uncomfortable jabs down near my lady parts. The doctor told me Lily was head down so I think she is punching my organs or something.
Belly Button? Out
Best Moment of the Week? I think the best moment of the week was hearing from the doctor that Lily is head down. I know she could still always decide to move, but it made me so excited because it makes me think that she is getting ready inside me while are busy out here getting ready for her!.

Dallas Baby Shower

Last Saturday my best girlfriends threw an amazing baby shower for Lily, Danny and I! It was a relaxing few hours hanging out with our favorite friends, eating some yummy food, playing some fun games and opening adorable gifts for Lily. It was absolutely perfect!

Here we are excited for the party to start!

Me with all the beautiful hostesses.
IMG_5847

I fogot to take a picture of the sign in table before it got converted to the dessert table but this is what our guests signed in on.

IMG_5901

How adorable is that?!?! Tori is so artistic and hand drew that tree! Once Lily makes her debut we will put her thumb print in that blank spot next to mine and Danny's thumbprint (right above the "Welcome Lily" banner) and Tori is going to turn our thumb prints into a little bird family! So cuuuute!

The flowers on the tables were all lilies in honor of the guest of honor!
IMG_5854

The boys at the party spent most of their time hanging out, drinking beer and playing Polish Golf which is a made up game that everyone seems to love! To get them in on some shower activities the girls set up a version of baby bottle flip cup. There were two teams racing to chug their beer out of a baby bottle. It was pretty hilarious to watch! Here are some action shots!

Look at his awesome form!

After all that excitement, all the girls headed inside for present time! I love presents. I love getting them, I love giving them, I love sneaking around trying to find my presents, I love watching other people open presents, I love everything about presents!

We are so lucky and got some great gifts at the shower! We got bath stuff, diapers, wipes detergent, swaddle blankets, a humidfier, cute A&M gear, adorable Rangers outfits, a baby carrier and a moby wrap, new mommy essentials, precious outfits, a personalized Lily pillow, a mani/pedi gift certificate (momma needs a little pampering too), tons of books, sweet handmade gifts and more! I wish I would have taken a picture of all the gifts but of course I got antsy once I got home and openend everything so I could put it where it belonged!

Here are pictures of the homemade stuff so you can see just how talented these girls are!

Tori sewed Lily this adorable dress
IMG_5904

Tori's mom crocheted her this hat and blanket
IMG_5905

Kiki made Lily a quilt that matches her room. I can't even imagine how long it takes to make something like this! So special!
IMG_5906 IMG_5907

Kiki also made these blocks that spell out Lily. I sent her a picture of what I wanted not too long ago and gave her my leftover fabric from some other projects I had done in Lily's rooms and voila, personalized blocks for Lily! The girls used them for decoration at the shower and now they sit on the shelf in Lily's room.

IMG_5903

This wasn't actually homemade by one of the girls, but it was homemade by someone! Ashley got Lily this adorable pillow that spells out her name and is colorful and has little animals just like her room!
IMG_5902

Then it was time for dessert (made by Katie and Tori) some more hanging out and some pictures under Lily's banner! I wish I would have gotten pictures of all of our guests but I kept losing my camera!

It was such a special and fun day for us and I am thankful to have such amazing friends who love us and our little Lily so much already!

Oh Baby Baby - Week 34

34 weeks

How Far Along? 34 weeks…only 6 weeks to go (42 days).

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of a butternut squash and now weighs about 4.2 to 5.8 pounds and is about 17.2 to 18.7 inches long.

Maternity Clothes?  Still just using the few maternity pants I have but mostly wearing dresses.

Weight Gain? This week my scale at home tells me I am up to almost 20lbs. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow so my next update will be more accurate!

Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele.

Sleep? Still no problems in this area. I am sleeping so hard that I actually find myself waking up really refreshed in the morning.
Food Cravings? Just fruit.

What I Miss? Nothing. Just excited that we are getting so close to meeting this sweet baby girl!

Symptoms?  I really have not noticed any pregnancy symptoms at all this week.
Belly Button? Out
Best Moment of the Week? So many great things happened this week. My amazing girlfriends threw us an adorable and fun baby shower, my bestie took some beautiful maternity pictures for us, and Danny got to celebrate his first Father’s Day! Detailed blog posts on all of these things to come!

Oh Baby Baby - Week 33

33 weeks

Today is our 2 year anniversary so I made Danny get in the picture!

How Far Along? 33 weeks…only 7 weeks to go (49 days).

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of a durian (no idea what that is) and now weighs about 4.2 to 5.8 pounds and is about 17.2 to 18.7 inches long.

Maternity Clothes?  Still just using the few maternity pants I have but mostly wearing dresses.

Weight Gain? 16 lbs. Somehow I lost 2 lbs in the past 2 weeks per my doctor’s scale.

Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele.

Sleep? Sleep is still great. I think I run around so much trying to get things done during the day that I just fall deeply asleep the minute my head hits the pillow.
Food Cravings? Just fruit. I rarely ever feel hungry so meal time has become difficult. Since I am not hungry, I don’t feel like eating anything too heavy so I would rather just eat some yummy fruit! I can’t get away with this too often though because I know the baby needs me to eat protein and things other than fruit. It is just hard to fit anything else in my belly these days!

What I Miss? Nothing much!

Symptoms?  A little bit of heartburn but still not bad enough for me to take any medicine for it and random leg and foot cramps.

Belly Button? Out but starting to get flatter the more it is being stretched.
Best Moment of the Week? This past week had a lot of great moments! I had a doctors appointment and got to hear Lily’s heartbeat which is always great! I also got started packing my hospital bag! I have always been that person who packs weeks in advance for trips so I am sure it was no surprise to Danny when I pulled my suitcase out of the closet to start packing! Then, this weekend, Danny and I had a bunch of classes to teach us about all things baby. We took a breastfeeding class, infant CPR, and baby care basics and learned a ton of stuff. I am just hoping we remember it all when Lily gets here!

Oh Baby Baby - Week 32

32 weeks

How Far Along? 32 weeks…only 8 weeks to go (56 days).

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of a squash and now weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds and is about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long.

Maternity Clothes?  Still just using the few maternity pants I have but mostly wearing dresses.

Weight Gain? 18 lbs.

Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele.

Sleep? Still no problems! I am so thankful that I have not had any sleep issues this entire time. I am definitely a girl who needs to get her sleep in or else I am a grump!
Food Cravings? I guess the only thing I would be able to call a pregnancy craving is fruit. I still eat tons of it. This week I am having cantaloupe.

What I Miss? I am really starting to miss alcoholic beverages. The summer makes me want to drink margaritas and beer!

Symptoms?  Just a growing belly.
Belly Button? Out but starting to get flatter the more it is being stretched.
Best Moment of the Week? Just being able to feel and see Lily move soooo much! That girl must be doing gymnastics in my belly because I will just be sitting and you can see my entire belly move from side to side! We also started Lamaze class last night so that was fun.

Oh Baby Baby - Week 31

IMG_5752

How Far Along? 31 weeks…only 9 weeks to go (63 days). I can’t believe we are in single digit weeks now!

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of a pineapple and now weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds and is about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long.

Maternity Clothes?  Still just using the few  maternity pants I have but mostly wearing dresses.

Weight Gain? 18 lbs. I can’t believe I am getting close to the 20 lb mark! I don’t feel like I have that much extra weight on me so I guess that is a good thing!

Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele.

Sleep? Still great!
Food Cravings? The other day at the grocery store I really wanted to get some of those little white powdered donuts but I resisted the urge. I feel like I have done really well not eating junk food this whole time so I am trying my best to finish strong!

What I Miss? Being able to get up easily after sitting on the floor. When I was working on those sewing projects this weekend I was sitting on the floor a lot to cut and pin my fabrics and it was quite a workout getting myself up and down!
Symptoms?  Nothing new this week.
Belly Button? Totally out. The poor little guy is getting stretched to the max and is starting to get a little bit flat at the bottom.
Best Moment of the Week? Getting to hear Lily’s strong heartbeat at my appointment and feeling her in my belly. Sometimes when she is flipping around in there I can put my hand on my stomach and actually feel her little body parts! One morning this weekend I woke up and I felt either her head or her bottom pushing out against my belly up by my ribs. It is just crazy to be able to feel her little body from the outside!

Weekend Sewing

This weekend I caught the sewing bug and knocked out 2 projects that I had been wanting to do for Lily.

The first thing I made was a car seat canopy. I have to say, I was pretty impressed with how it turned out. I am not known for my patience, but I took it slow and actually measured things instead of just eyeballing it and it turned out just how I envisioned it! I used this easy to follow tutorial.

IMG_5744 IMG_5743

The first thing Danny said when he saw it was, " That's nice, but can you make one that is not so girly?" I don't think he has come to terms with the fact that his life is going to be full of pink from now on!

The next project was a little harder and I had to break out my math skills. I made this ottoman to go in front of the chair in Lily's room.

IMG_5739

I used this tutorial but adjusted the dimensions a little bit to make it taller and wider. I stuffed the ottoman with the stuffing from three old pillows so I still need to work out some of the lumps. This project required lots of pinning and was a little more difficult because of the trim detail but I think it turned out all right and the ottoman serves its purpose (Danny thought it was going to be too squishy and not hold my feet up) so I am happy with it!

IMG_5740

I am so happy that I got two big projects knocked off my to do list this weekend. Only 9 more weeks to go and so much to do!

Oh Baby Baby - Week 30

IMG_5737
My photographer was unavailable  so i had to figure it out by myself but I could not figure out how to add the date so that will have to wait until Danny can do it for me!

How Far Along? 30 weeks…only 10 weeks to go (70 days)!

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of a cucumber and now weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds and is about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long.

Maternity Clothes?  I got my white linen maternity pants from Old Navy in and I love them! They will be in my next Belly on a Budget post. I am still just using the few pairs of maternity bottoms I have and the rest is all dresses.

Weight Gain? I think I am back up to 14 pounds. I go to the doctor on Thursday so I will have a more accurate number next week. 14 pounds doesn’t sound like that much, but sometimes I see my belly and it scares me, haha. I can’t imagine it getter bigger but I know it will!

Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele. She has quite the bow collection going!

Sleep? Still great!

Food Cravings? No food cravings but I have been really thirsty lately.

What I Miss? Being able to slouch. My belly is in my way and it is kind of painful to slouch when I am sitting down. At least my posture is improving!

Symptoms?  Nothing new this week. Still just have a little bit of heartburn every now and then, the occasional leg cramp and a growing belly.

Belly Button? Totally out

Best Moment of the Week? Getting to spend some time with my family this weekend. It wasn't under the best of circumstances but it is always good to see everyone. I am not supposed to be traveling after I am 31 weeks so the next time I see everyone I will get to introduce them to Lily!

Tuesday, May 15, 2012

Oh Baby Baby - Week 29

29 weeks

How Far Along? 29 weeks…77 days to go!

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of an acorn squash and now weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds and is about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long.

Maternity Clothes?  I ordered some white linen pants from Old Navy so I am excited for those to come in!

Weight Gain? 14lbs. Per my scale at home I have actually lost 2-3 pounds since last week but I am going to keep the official tally at 14 pounds until my doctors appointment next week. I think the weight loss is due to me changing up my diet a little bit to try and get my bathroom “issues” under control. The pipes are starting to work!

Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele.

Sleep? Still great!
Food Cravings? Nope

What I Miss? Can’t say that I really miss anything.

Symptoms?  I have started having more regular mild heartburn. I am pretty sure I am getting it daily because of the orange juice I drink in the morning. I am not normally an orange juice person but the internet told me that taking my iron pill with orange juice would help me absorb it better so that is what I am doing. It is nothing too painful so I am not taking anything for heartburn relief at this point. I am also still getting leg/foot cramps every now and then so I am really trying hard to drink tons of water.
Belly Button? Totally out
Best Moment of the Week? Celebrating my first Mother's Day!

Maternity Wear

My friend Andrea at work is so sweet and always tells me that I look cute even though I have a basketball sticking out of my stomach.  She also suggested that I blog about what I am wearing these days. I thought that was a really good idea since the truth is I still only own 8 pieces of maternity clothing and I am trying to get through this pregnancy on a budget so it has been like a game to me when I go shopping or scrounge around in my closet for an outfit in the morning.

I am not going back to work after Lily makes her debut, so in a few short months life as I know it is really going to change. New Baby + One Income = No Careless Shopping for Mitzi. So, in order to prepare me for my soon to come life style change, I decided I would try and dress my pregnant self on the cheap!I love a self imposed challenge!

Here is what I currently own that is actually maternity (I have still never worn items 5-8):

1. Black Pants - Destination Maternity Brand from Macy's $24.99
2. Black Capri Pants - Destination Maternity Brand from Macy's $19.99
3. Maternity Smooth Panel Skinny Jeans - Old Navy $39.94 (more than I like to spend but a necessity)
4. Denim Shorts - Liz Lange from Target 24.99
5. Black Maxi Dress - Wal Mart $18.00
6. Black Foldover Skirt - Old Navy $19.94
7. White Tank - Old Navy $10.00 (normally $12 but I had a coupon or something)
8. White Linen Pants - Old Navy $32.94 (actually paid $22.94 since I had a $10 off coupon)

The rules I follow when I go out looking for new clothes are:

1. I don't think that just because I am pregnant I have to wear maternity clothes so I rarely even look at them. I am pretty lucky because so far I have really only gained weight in my belly and boobs and a lot of the current cuts of clothes work great for a growing belly so I am still be able to buy clothes in my regular size or up one size (XS-S). I also really like wearing dresses and a lot of my pre pregnancy dresses still work for me. If I wore pants more often or if I was pregnant during the winter and had to wear pants I would have had to invest in more maternity pants for sure. Regular pants with a Bella Band just don't cut it after a while.

2. Unless it is super cute and I love it/convince myself that I NEED it, I never spend full price on anything. I normally shop the clearance racks at Old Navy and Target and find great deals. Most things I buy at those two places cost me less than $10. TJMaxx and Nordstrom Rack are my other go to shopping spots, especially for dresses.

3. I try not to buy anything that I don't think I will wear after I am done being pregnant. Since I am mostly buying clothes in my regular size, I am fully expecting that I will wear them when I done being pregnant also. I figure I will get more bang for my buck this way since I will get more than just a few months of use out of them. I am fully aware that as I near the end of this pregnancy I will probably have to bite the bullet and get a few more maternity items in order to keep my belly covered and stay comfortable.

It really has been a fun challenge to try and dress my ever growing and changing body on a budget! I am going to try to take daily pictures from here on out of what I am wearing to make it through this last trimester!

Oh Baby Baby - Week 28

28 weeks
How Far Along? 28 weeks…84 days to go! We are officially in the 3rd trimester! Woooohooo!!!

Size of Baby?  Baby is the size of an eggplant and now weighs about 1.5 to 2.5 pounds and is about 13.6 to 14.8 inches long. I had an ultrasound yesterday morning and this little nugget actually weighs 2.6 pounds.

Maternity Clothes?  Nothing new. Just wearing my pre preggo dresses and the couple of pairs of maternity pants I have for work.

Weight Gain? 14lbs

Gender? Girl! Liliana Adele. At the ultrasound yesterday I made sure to double check with both the ultrasound tech and the doctor that Lily was in fact still a girl. I was getting a little nervous since we had not had an ultrasound since week 18 when we were first told she was a girl and sometimes they can be wrong about these things! It is such a relief to know that we don’t have to return all of our pretty pink things!

Sleep? Still great! I have been sleeping so hard that most nights I only get up to once to go potty and a couple of nights I have not gotten up at all. That was unheard of even before I got pregnant!
Food Cravings? I really wanted a cupcake on Sunday night but that may have just been because I had one on Saturday from Society Bakery and it was so yummy that I had myself convinced I needed more.

What I Miss? This is totally strange and again probably TMI, but I miss the days when the skin on the underside of my boobs did not touch the top part of my belly. Those two parts of skin are not supposed to touch! When I get home and put on my pajamas and take off my bra boob skin touches tummy skin and it sweats and feels icky. The only way to stop this from happening is to either wear a bra all the time (no thanks) or to just stick your tshirt in the crease between boobs and belly. It may not be sexy, but it does the trick.

Symptoms?  Based on the blood work I had done last week, I don't have gestational diabetes but I am slightly anemic so I am now taking an iron pill everyday. I have also been having cramps in my feet and toes recently.
Belly Button? Totally out
Best Moment of the Week? Getting to see Lily at my ultrasound yesterday and hearing that everything looks perfect! The doctor even said  that  I had a beautiful cervix (he sure knows how to make a cervix feel special) so the risk of preterm labor looks very small at this point. I am just praying that the next 12 weeks continue to go smoothly.
